But with 512 MB it's speed is screeming, users were overwhelmed when we upgraded from Oracle 8.0.5 on NT. I am not shure about SP6, Oracle Support for example in case of OAS4 did not like it. Hi Guys, Just wanted to double check with you guys - I am going to be trashing my NT 4, 8.0.4 test instance once I have managed to download the 8.1.6 zip from technet over my 31,200 bps line!! Yeah - 6 years later.. Anyway, I am going to totally wipe Oracle and start over a again, and just wanted to check on how to wipe completely - 1) Shut down the instance 2) oradim80 to delete all of the services (what is the command by the way?) 3) Delete the Oracle directory 4) Delete all mention of Oracle in my registry. Is this the right way to do it? Should I do anything else? Also is there anything that I should watch out for with 8.1.6 on NT 4 sp6? I only have 128mb RAM on my NT box, will that do for an empty instance? The only reason it is there is to test tools against.. Do I need to worry about anything else? Subject: Trashing Oracle.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to double check with you guys - I am going to be trashing my NT 4, 8.0.4 test instance once I have managed to download the 8.1.6 zip from technet over my 31,200 bps line!! Yeah - 6 years later..

Anyway, I am going to totally wipe Oracle and start over a again, and just wanted to check on how to wipe completely -

1) Shut down the instance
2) oradim80 to delete all of the services (what is the command by the way?)
3) Delete the Oracle directory
4) Delete all mention of Oracle in my registry.

Cheers
