RE: Multiple versions of TNSNAMES.ORA ?

To add stuff to it, I do this (in the
$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora file):

ifile=/whatever_dir/tnsnames.ora.local

"In a UNIX client machine, it is possible to create an equivalent of TNSNAMES.ORA in $HOME that over-rides (or adds to) the one in

Is this statement True or False ? If true can you please point me towards more information regarding this ...
