Everyone, 8.1.7 is NOT, I repeat NOT 9i. 8.1.7 is 8i release 3. Oracle will announce at OOW next week what is currently being referred to as "The Next Database for Internet Computing". I think the confusion is the fact that IAS(Internet Application Server) V1.X has been renamed to IAS 9i. I also believe that is what www.oracle.com is indicating. The web page is being powered by IAS 9i formerly known as IAS v1.x.

I hope this clears up some confusion.
