Yes. This is about to go dangerously off-topic, but don't forget that exchange rates often have more to do with how the money-markets view the currency (in terms of GDSR, balance-of-trade, debt and deficit, etc) than any actual relationship of cost-of-living. That's why you occasionally hear about people in underdeveloped countries who live on "the equivalent of $1 per month" -- when we all know that even a germ can't live on a dollar these days (ba-da-BOOM).
