You need to add an entry for the Solaris listener into the tnsnames file on the Windows box.

Hi,

I have a database running on Solaris 8 and another running on Windows NT.

Is it possible to connect to Oracle on Solaris from Oracle on Windows.

I added an entry in the listener file and tried to connect. But I got the following error

TNS:12154: TNS Could not resolve the Service name in Connect Descriptor

ANY help appreciated? Received on Wed Sep 27 2000 - 14:10:56 CDT
