I highly recommend

_Unix Shell Programming_

by Stephen Kochan and Patrick Wood
    from Hayden Books

The version I have is fairly old, but a friend of mine just bought a new one recently. My old version has a ISBN of 0-8104-6309-1

Hi,

I am a beginner in Shell Scripting.

Can anyone be kind enough to recommend a book which is Ideal for a beginner on Shell scripting.

Also that book should take lessons from a beginner to an intermediate level or to an advanced level. Received on Mon Sep 25 2000 - 14:29:27 CDT
