How about a=20
for i in a-z loop=20
do rm -fr root\subroot\subsubroot\i
end loop
type of statement. You will have to clean it up for syntax.(it has been a = while since I used unix)
ROR =AA=BF=AA

List, how can i remove 25,000 files from a unix directory ?? if i try rm -f * it returns=20
"ksh: /usr/bin/rm: 0403-027 The parameter list is too long"

if i give wild card it would take too long.... it's not a separate file system so i cannot unmount and remove the FS.

TIA rahul
