You are correct in your statement. The extents have to be free contiguous = space. You need to increase to size of your datafile to accommodate the = extents of your tables.

If I have a tablespace with 5 MB free space and a largest free extent of = 2.5
MB, am I write in think that a next entext of 4 MB on a table will fail, because the free extent space cannot be used?
