I assume you are responding to me?

The documentation I have for Solaris 2.x is the Oracle 8i Administrator's Reference. In the Database Limits section it has the maximum value for MAXDATAFILES as 65534, which is a far cry bigger than 4000. Like I said, the numbers make me nervous, so if you can point me to any other documentation of the limitations I would be most grateful.

I will not work. See limitation about number of datafiles. As I understand is
going to be over 4000 tablespaces located in separated database files...
