David,

I'm about to install 64-bit 8.1.6.0 on Solaris 2.7. Any gotchas that I should be aware of?

Also, do you happen to know if there are any patches for 64-bit 8.1.6.0 for Solaris 2.7?

TIA,
Gerardo

Hi Waleed,

You are correct. Actually you can get to about 3.75 GB on Solaris 2.6. With
Solaris 7 and beyond, you can get almost to 4 GB with 32-bit Oracle. You need
64-bit Oracle to get beyond 4 GB.
