How about a nice EMC disk farm, and two servers, each with an instance = running against your database (Parallel Server). Using OAS as the front = end (preferably on a smaller third server), when one server fails, OAS can = switch the connections over to ther other server.

which is the best "HOT standby" solution for an 24x7 database ?, able to "switch" to the standby DB, in shortest possible time.
