SQL is the ANSI standard language for talking to an RDBMS. SQL*Plus is Oracle's extensions to the standard SQL. PL/SQL is Oracle's implementation of a procedural language in the database.

I was recently asked, what is the difference between SQL, SQL Plus and PL/SQL. I admit it ... I choked !!
Where can I find a good definition of each??
