You might be seeing a known problem where you get ORA-3113 when executing SQL 
scripts (ORA-602 server failure in DEC C RTL).  There are some OpenVMS patches 
recommended if you are running OpenVMS 7.1.  Not sure what you need at 6.2.  
Look for bug 691876.
