Have you made sure that the database are listed in the listener.ora file?

Yes, but still no luck. I can connect to the database using the service defined in the tnsnames.ora (TCP/IP connection with localhost as HOST) via SQL*Plus (GUI) no problem. The OEM Console program discovers my node but doesn't see the database on the laptop.

Any other ideas?
