We are currently using CA's Desktop DBA. It works great for day to day maintenance of a database. nothing on health or monitoring. We are also looking at BMC's WebDBA as a cheaper alternative to Desktop DBA. Still, no monitoring but good for database maintenance.

I use Savant Diagnostic Center (part of Savant Enterprise). It gives a great overview of the health of your database and provides drill-down capability to get to the bottom if a problem.

Dear DBAs !

I'm desperately looking for a simple tool ( either Freeware or to purchase ) to administer / monitor / diagnose a remote Database .

I'm currently investigating the Oracle Enterprise manager , and , to be honest , i don't like it too much . ( But probably i just haven't explored all of it's power yet ) .

Which tools are U guys using ? Do U like them ?

Please drop me a line .

Many thanks in advance .
