It's amazing how many people I've interviewed in the last month that claim 'expert' or 'advanced' skills and yet can't answer the simplest questions about PL/SQL. Wow. And the scary part is those people could still be hired as junior developers. WOW.... I could NEVER lie on my resume like that and oversell myself into a job. I'm not a good liar. I had no idea that resume fudging was so RAMPANT.

It's funny how people can claim so many years of experience that don't quite add up. We have a guy here who claims to have over 10 years of software development experience (involving Oracle) and flaunts it. He's barely past 30 and graduated from college with an accounting degree and worked as an accountant for 6 years after that. At most he probably has half that. You figure it out for yourself.

In my previous job our Damagement hired a guy as my boss (in later part of
1995) who claimed to have had worked in UNIX and Oracle environment for over
22 years...
He was subsequently fired in Jan 1996.. I still wonder why ;-)
