Subject:	Oracle requires 100 percent CPU???

		Hi,=20
we are running an Oracle Database 8.0.6 on Windows NT.
Recently wqe had a complete stand stil of the database -
machine saying CPU
is 100 percent busy, even with database in startup mode - we
tried that.
Besides the database nothing else is running on the machine.

This behaviour vanished after several hours, but came back
some other time,
		vanished again.
The logfiles are not suggesting anything special.
Any idea what might go wrong. We and Oracle have no idea
where to look for
		the cause.

		Any help is greatly appreciated.
		Regards,
		Antje Sackwitz
