Svrmgr goes away soon.

But there are blank lines in some of the catxxxx.sql scripts' object definitions which are tolerated by svrmgr but not sql*plus. Those who used sql*plus to run catalog.sql wound up with a couple of extra invalid or missing objects.

Yes, bugs have been written, and everything (cancer, the poor, HIV, Oracle bugs past and future) is fixed in Oracle 8.1.7.
