Hi Ron,

If you have accurate optimizer statistics then you can use the sparse_tables.sql script from my web site. This script has the advantage of giving you suggestions for new PCTFREE and PCTUSED values that will minimize the risk of further such problems.

We have a lot of full table scans in our production application. I would
like to make sure I don't have tables that have a high highwater mark but
much fewer records due to deletes, causing Oracle to read more blocks than
is required. Does anyone have a script to show the percentage of used blocks vs. the highwater mark?
