Downed Database

I attempted to load WebDB (2.1) for Linux (Redhat 6.1) and was unsuccessful. The installer also managed to #$*&%$ my database(8.1.5.0.2). The console crashed so I had to reboot the OS. After uninstalling WebDB via the installer and removing the code tree I was unable to run svrmgrl.

I had several missing library files...I ended up coping library files from our production system over and I'm able to get as far as the following:

                Oracle Server Manager Release 3.1.5.0.0 - Production

                (c) Copyright 1997, Oracle Corporation. All Rights Reserved.

		Oracle8i Release 8.1.5.0.2 - Production
		With the Java option
		PL/SQL Release 8.1.5.0.0 - Production

		SVRMGR> connect internal
		Connected.
		SVRMGR> startup
		ORA-01081: Message 1081 not found; No message file for
product=RDBMS, facility=A
		SVRMGR>

Anyone know where I might look to solve this...I can't seem to get anyone's attention at Oracle(no answer on phone, no response to TAR)! I've searched metalink, however, nothing...all environment various are correctly set. Received on Fri Jul 28 2000 - 21:22:30 CDT
