       Hi,

We are on ORACLE 7.3.4.4.1 and HP-UX 10.2

I am trying to generate Scripts for the indexes . I am stumped
       on the following problems.

       1) When an index is created in the ascending or descending
order , does the internal creation of the indexes differ.
       2) Will it affect access times.
       3) What are the dictionary tables which will give me the order
of the indexes (asc / desc) .

            I have searched dba_indexes , dba_ind_columns to no
       avail...

                      Thanks
                                     shreepad
