Run catexp7.sql present in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin as internal in ur 8.1.6 database and than
do the export from 8.1.5.
Note: check that it is catexp7.sql ( upto 8.1.5 I'm sure that it is catexp7.sql but for 8.1.6
I'm not very sure).

When exported from 815/bin, the export is generating so many errors for most of the tables as follows:

EXP-00008: Oracle error 1003 or 904  encountered
ORA-01003: no statement parsed
ORA-00904: invalid column Name

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You need to do export from 8.1.5 pointing to the database in 8.1.6. Cannot export into 8.1.5 from 8.1.6; not downward compatible.

Dear List,

Iam taking the 816 export file and importing into 815 database and getting the following errors:

IMP-00010: not a valid export file, header failed verification IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully.

Iam on HP-UX 11.0
I would appreciate if someone help me in resolving the problem.
