RE: Urgent: NT 8.0.5 restarted after 76 days, now slow

This is the argument against the current belief that many extents is no problem.

I hope you have resized the temp segments..... Oracle's latest recommendation (via the internals class I took) is that between 1000 and 4000 extents is not bad, over that you can run into problems...
