Hi,
For the three categories: shared, dedicated, none, my understanding is: 1. dedicated: the sessions that are using dedicated connection to database. 2. shared: the sessions that are using shared server at the moument you select from v$seeion.
3. None: the sessions that connected to database through MTS dispathers but are not using shared sever

at the moument you select v$session (idle?).

dedicated session hold the server process untill session termination. shared session only hold the process the time it need, the rest of time it does not hold the process (NONE).
Hope this can help a little bit Received on Wed Jul 26 2000 - 10:16:52 CDT
