Upgrade from 8.0.5 to 8.0.6

Hello,

We are planning on upgrading from Oracle 8.0.5 to 8.0.6 on AIX due to quite a few parallel server hanging problems and spurious ORA-600 errors seen in the alert file.

The intent is to try to get our product more stable for our customer.

We do not know if the upgrade will solve our problems and do not have the ability to upgrade to 8.1.6 due to AIX issues.

So the main question I have is has anybody upgraded to 8.0.6 from 8.0.5 and seen MORE problems with 8.0.6 than with 8.0.5? We are hoping that some problems will go away, but are kind of wary of introducing new problems at this late stage in our product development.

Any comments either pro or con to our current proposed path would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron
