Hi gurus,

	I am running Oracle 8.1.5 on NT4.
This is a distributed environment, where it talks with another
	8.1.5 database.
When some long running batch processes are running for data
transfer between these databases, the distributed transaction
	times out.
The documentation says the distributed_lock_timeout is obsolete
from 8.1.3. If this is so how do i increase the
distributed_lock_timeout interval so that, i can continue with
	the batch process.

Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
