Database with repository should be started before Management server. So after rebooting even if database is started automatically, OMS can try to start earlier and fail. It doesn't. Each time I restart Windows 2000 I must open up the services control panel and start the management server. I also had a problem with the management server stopping immediately after I started it each time. But a coworker had installed SQL Server AFTER Oracle 8i had been installed. Installing SQL Server first solved the problem. Sorry for late reply. Database with repository should = be started before Management server. So after rebooting even if = database is started automatically, OMS can try to start earlier and = fail. You need to have a script which will run after rebooting, check = if database with repository started, if not wait a little and then try = again.

started it each time. But a coworker had installed = SQL Server AFTER Oracle
8i had been installed. Installing SQL Server first = solved the problem.
