Sorry for late reply. Database with repository should be started before Management server. So after rebooting even if database is started automatically, OMS can try to start earlier and fail. You need to have a script which will run after rebooting, check if database with repository started, if not wait a little and then try again.

I don't know if this is related, but I'm trying to get the management server to automatically start on Windows 2000. It doesn't. Each time I restart Windows 2000 I must open up the services control panel and start the management server.

I also had a problem with the management server stopping immediately after I started it each time. But a coworker had installed SQL Server AFTER Oracle 8i had been installed. Installing SQL Server first solved the problem.

As part of repository startup, added a net start command for the management server. It gets a generic NT error stating that the service could not be started. If try to start it via control panel/services - it works. What is the difference?????
