Hi Raj,

I've got 8.1.5.0.5 and 8.1.6.1.2 on NT (Win NT 4 SP5).

The version tab for the 81505 Oracle.exe shows the version as 8.1.5.0.0 The version tab for the 81602 Oracle.exe shows the version as 8.1.6.0.0

That is, this only shows the major Oracle version, & does not get updated for patch releases.

Regards,
Bruce

Alex,

I extracted Oracle.EXE from Oracle 8i Release 2 Cd, and the version shows 8.1.6.0.0 but then I am on Win NT sp5.

Cheers
Raj
