Checkpoint Secure Remote client is a network layer piece of
software that provides security into corporate networks.
It communicates with an ACE server to authenticate the user.
For SQL*Net connections, usually another type of connection is required
first,
e.g. telnet , which opens a time window in which SQL*Net
connections from the same client are allowed.

In checking MetaLink for TNS problems, I encountered the statement:
"Check for the existence of a Checkpoint Secure Remote Client on the Oracle client machine."
Can someone explain what this means?
