Hi.

Has anyone heard anything about CPU counts on WinNT & Linux? AFAIK, Standard Edition is limited to 2 CPUs. With 1 GHz Intel chips near, wouldn't it be possible that Oracle would allow a 4 x 500 MHz config in Standard Edition also?

Also, I read in Oracle Mag that Enterprise Edition is required to produce a transportable tablespace, but that other databases running Standard Edition can import the transportable tablespace. True or False?

Is anyone having to pull back from using Oracle 8.1.6 on WinNT due to known bugs in sort operations using TEMP?

thanks,

Paul
