I have done installs where there are two nics on an HP box. Basically it was a security thing. I do recall some issues in setting up the listener but it did work. We did run two listeners, one for each nic but I believe that to was for security reasons. I really don't remember what our issues where in setting up the listener but I am believe it was more related to the fact it was Trusted Oracle on Trusted HP.

A third party is doing an install with Oracle 8i on and NT box that we've provided. It happens to have 2 NIC cards in it. They say they can't get the listener to work because it has 2 NIC cards. I've done a number of *nix installs but never an NT, but their statement sounds goofy to me.

Am I being too suspicious?
