Of course you will need to backup the tablespace which contains the rbs! If
not, you would not be able to recover the rbs if that drive crashed!

Subject: Hot backup of the RBS tablespace
I am working on a script to do hot backups using the approach:
alter tablespace xxx begin backup;
<copy datafiles>
alter tablespace xxx end backup;
Should I backup the tablespace which contains the rollback segments?
thanks
