Good Morning,
I am looking for information and direction about using the Optical = JukeBoxes as an alternative storage device for Oracle datafiles. We have = approx 30 GIG of read only tablespaces and no datafile is larger that 3.5 = GIG (system limitations). Does anyone have any leads on a CD-R that will = hold 4 GIG of data ie: DVD writer and a CD reader or Juke Box that will = allow Oracle to access the datafile in an acceptable period of time.=20   Our current system contains 1 RAID 5 device of 72 GIG to hold all of the = datafiles except SYSTEM. I would like to augment the current environment = with the Junk Box and move the read only tablespaces off the drives to = free up space.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
