Not having the opportunity to use bitmaps but doing a lot of reading, = maybe I can offer a suggestion from my readings;

 event =3D"10111 trace name context forever"
 event =3D"10112 trace name context forever"
 event =3D"10114 trace name context forever"
must be set for bitmaps to work and turn on specific pieces of code in the = Oracle kernal.

I may be offbase with this suggestion but like I said I haven't used = bitmaps yet.

I KNOW I can create bitmap indexes in 7.3.4, I've done it at other jobs. = But=20
for the life of me, I can't remember what it is that I need to do that I = am=20
not already doing....

v733_plans_enabled=3Dtrue
compatible=3D7.3.4.0

and I say "create bitmap index indexname on tablename(column)"

and it barfs on the word bitmap.....

so what am I doing wrong????
