Unix In A Nutshell (Gilly) - for a quick reference Unix Power Tools (Peek, O'Reilly & Loukides) - for good introductions to vi, shell scripting, awk, sed
Sun Performance & Tuning (Cockcroft and Pettit) - Monitoring & tuning OS performance
Oracle8 & Unix Performance Tuning (Alomari) - Musthave book on tuning Oracle on Unix
