No, idea is not to start a HOLY WAR, but I'd like to defend NT server (and also reply to the thread - where r u from? - that I'm from Boston, MA, USA).

We have mission critical large database (150G) running on NT server without many serious problems. I have been fortunate enough to work on most flavors of UNIX and now on NT, and I have always found a way to do the same thing - irrespective of the OS.
When I started working with NT, I had the same feeling about this New Technology (NT) and was scared of BSOD (Blue screen of Death), but now, I have changed my viewpoint. I just feel I'm an Oracle DBA - whatever is the OS. I may have less tools available when I work on one OS as compared to another, but I still have to make sure my database is in great shape.
