Hi Eric,

The MR locks are held by DBWn - one per datafile; and the RT lock is held by LGWR. This is normal - nothing to worry about.

Subject:	MR/RT in V$Lock

I queried v$lock in the database. There are 17 rows with 'Media Recovery'(MR), one with 'Redo Thread'(RT).

Does anyone what this means? Seems like they are all related to redo logs, right?
Thanks.

Eric Fang
