Yup. That's where installing from. Initially installed client, tuning =
pack and docs. Only thing logged in inventory is docs. Everything is =
installed, just not listed in the inventory.

Are you running the 8.1.6 NT "Client Install" off the Oracle 8 i Enterprise=
Edition Release 2 CD? I have successfully installed Oracle 8i2 Server with the Client Software from the CD.
Could you try running from a different installation option?
