Ruth,

It's very easy to install Help tables in SQLPLUS.

  1. Logon as the Oracle UNIX user
  2. set the env variable SYSTEM_PASS to system/<password>, like SYSTEM_PASS=system/manager;export SYSTEM_PASS
  3. cd /tmp
  4. $ORACLE_HOME/bin/helpins

Subject: Help in sqlplus

Hi all!
How do you create the help tables on the server and client for SQL*PLUS. I know that this is a simple question but I am a simple person.

Thanks,
Ruth
