Unless you patch 8.0.5, the max datafile size is 2G. I don't remember the patch number and I don't know what the max datafile size is after patching.

Isn't tablespace size a function of Oracle and the max number of datafiles?

Is there extra overhead associated with multiple datafiles, say 5 x 2G datafiles instead of 1 x 10G?

Oracle 8.0.5
NT 4.0

I haven't found the answer yet in my documentation, and I know someone from this list will know. What is the maximum size of a tablespace and a datafile allowed on NT?
