Hello,

A trivial question for DBAs.

I have a FULL DATABASE EXPORT for an oracle8i database on NT.

If I want to recreate the database on a different machine, how would I do it?

  1. Launch the Universal Installer.
  2. Select all options EXCEPT creation of the default database
  3. After this completes, launch IMP.EXE and specify the export file name with the full export? Or do I have to manually create the database using CREATE DATABASE......, tablespaces and then import?

Trying to learn a few new tricks here:-) Received on Thu May 25 2000 - 17:20:57 CDT
