Binding LONGS in ASP

Greetings everyone.

Does someone have a good example of using bind variables to receive a long datatype in an Active Server Page (or similar) environment?

Actually, I understand that bind variables can help any template style of query in general. Sounds like a good idea - I just need some examples to get going.
