Microsoft Transaction Server

Has anyone had any luck getting Microsoft Transaction Server to work against an Oracle 8.1.5 database? We're having strange problems: For some users it works, and for some users, any attempted transaction returns Error -2147164158:
and creates a trace file on the server with an: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [12320], [270110576], [], [], [], [], [], []
I can't see any difference in setup between the users which work and those which fail. Dropping and recreating the user, often, but not always, solves the problem.
