It means what it says. That feature is not available, same as with OPS. There will be an update
for 8.1.6 in June and that feature will be enabled.

Has anyone successfully set up managed standby on Linux with Oracle 8.1.5? If so any idea why

SVRMGR> startup
ORA-00439: feature not enabled: Managed Standby

SVRMGR> host oerr ora 439
00439, 00000, "feature not enabled: %s"
// *Cause: The specified feature is not enabled.
// *Action: Do not attempt to use this feature.
