install question

I am trying to install 8.0.4 on Solaris 2.6



The install does not recognize that the dba group exists.  I know I am in the
dba group -


id shows me that I am.  However this info is coming from nis and not from
/etc/group.  Does the installer need to see the entry in /etc/group in order to
work properly?
