RE: install question

we have NIS mounted home directories for all unix accounts including the oracle account which belons to the dba group. never had this problem though .. hmmm.. guess have not solved ur prob .. but at least trying to answer the NIS part:-)

I would install 8.0.6

I hear 8.0.4 is not very stable.
