Help would be appreciated with the following.

I have a user that trying to use JAVA, he tries to connect to the data base with a JAVA string. when he does so, he gets the following - PLUS80W.EXE application error - can not read memory. When he tries to get into SQPLUS by itself, he gets a 12571 - packet error.

We've looked at the TNSNAMES and it seems to be ok. Any one have any ideas ?
