Can someone do a sanity check please. Oracle 7.3.3 on NT 4.0 (SP5)

If a user has dropped an important table which MUST be restored the only way this can be done (without use of an up to date export) is to

  1. Restore the WHOLE database from the last backup with all archived redo logs
  2. Roll the database forward to a point in time just before the user fouled up
  3. Open the database with RESETLOGS

Am I correct in thinking there is no way to restore just the affected tablespace without touching the rest of the database. Received on Sun May 14 2000 - 05:38:56 CDT
