hi gurus,

 I have the following query :

 Field_1 contains Thai Characters as well as English characters and is of varchar2 datatype. Our problem is to print at runtime (on Unix), reports which reflects the Thai Fonts (and not in plain ASCII as is the case now). But what is interesting is that , we are able to view the Thai Fonts (in Field_1) in SQLPLUS (on NT Client, if NLS_LANG is set to null in the registry)say with a select statement.When we preview it on NT, we can see the Thai Fonts.

But Reports runtime (on Unix)produces an output such as the one given below :

I think I need to change the characterset of the database to TH8TISASCII from US7ASCII. The Thai characterset is a superset of US7ASCII. Can you give Received on Fri May 12 2000 - 23:18:56 CDT
